Armeniërs: Oude Christenen in een jong land

Programma: Verzamelen bij de Universiteitsbibliotheek van Leiden om 14.30 uur.
Bezoek aan de tentoonstelling “Armeniërs: Oude Christenen in een jong land”.
De bibliotheek toont de hoogtepunten uit de relatief kleine, maar boeiende collectie Armeense handschriften en gedrukte boeken van de Universiteit Leiden. Aan de hand van de kleurrijk geïllustreerde materialen, van 10e eeuws handschrift tot modern woordenboek, krijgt u een stukje geschiedenis van de Armeniërs mee. De aanleiding om deze collectie tentoon te stellen is dat in 1660, nu 350 jaar geleden, het eerste in Amsterdam gedrukte Armeense boek werd uitgegeven.
Exclusief voor dit bezoek zal de armenoloog Prof. Dr. Jos Weitenberg toelichting geven over de Armeense handschriften en oude geprinte boeken van de tentoonstelling.

Visit to Exhibition “Armenians: Ancient Christians in a Young Country”.
The library exhibits the highlights from the relatively small but interesting collection of Armenian manuscripts and printed books of Leiden University. Based on the colourful illustrated materials from 10th century manuscript to modern dictionary, you get a piece of history of the Armenians. The reason to exhibit this collection is that in 1660, now 350 years ago, the first Armenian book printed in Amsterdam, was published.
Exclusively for our group, the armenologist Prof. Dr. Jos Weitenberg will provide information on the manuscripts and old printed books of this exhibition.

Այցելություն ցուցահանդես` «Հայերը. Հին քրիստոնյաներ երիտասարդ երկրում»:
Գրադարանում ցուցադրված են Լեյդենի համալսարանի հայերեն ձեռագիր և տպագիր գրքերի համեմատաբար փոքր, սակայն հետաքրքիր հավաքածուի կարևոր մասը: Սկսած 10-րդ դարի նկարազարդ ձեռագրից մինչև ժամանակակից տպագիր բառարանը այցելուին մատուցում են հայ ժողովրդի պատմության մի պատառիկը: Ցուցահանդեսը կազմակերպվել է 17-րդ դարում Ամստերդամում հրատարակված մի շարք հայերեն գրքերից առաջինի լույս ընծայման 350-ամյակի, կապակցությամբ:
